Bad Fats

So let me start by saying that saturated fats and trans fats are the kinds that make you gain fat and are not healthy. They also increase the risk of heart disease. You do not have to avoid saturated fats that much. But trans fat is the worst kind so I recommend staying away from Trans fat.

Some foods that are loaded with these kinds of fats are...

  • doughnuts
  • pizza
  • cheddar cheese
  • fast food burgers
  • fatty steak (eat leaner meats)
  • sugary snacks that come on boxes like cookies

Any processed foods may have these kinds of fats. You should stay away from them if you want to really lose weight. But you can still get food products that have less than 10% saturated fat.

Healthy fats are a different story altogether. They should be included in your diet because they are great for your health as well as keep you around you around your ideal weight. Poly saturated fats and mono saturated fats are the good kinds that are not stored as fat that easily.

Some great choices for healthy fats include olive oil, peanut butter, and baked beans.
